Biomass-fired Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP) Padinska Skela.

Preparation of engineering, technical, financial and environmental documentation of CHP, within the scope of wider project which shall include rehabilitation of Elementary School “Olga Petrov” and Specialised Psychiatric Clinic “Dr Laza Lazarevic” in Padinska Skela. A part of thermal energy generated in the CHP plant shall be used for heating of the School and the Clinic. The other part of generated thermal energy will be used for heating of the greenhouses of the PKB Company. The power generated in the CHP plant will be delivered to the Public Power Supplier of the Republic of Serbia over the distribution network. Construction of the CHP plant and rehabilitation of the school and the clinic shall be financed by the Government of the Swiss Confederation, while the heating network construction from the power plant to the School and Clinic shall be financed by the City of Belgrade. The main purpose of the preparation of engineering, technical, financial and environmental documentation is the definition of the optimal concept for construction of biomass-fired CHP plant “Padinska Skela”, including all necessary elements such as biomass collection, transport, storage and management, technological concept of the co-generation unit, capacity of the facility, type and installed capacity of a back-up boiler, operation regime in summer and winter period, ash disposal, gas emission and noise protection and calculation of the expected economic and financial indicators of the plant. Other aims of preparation of the required documentation are also provision of building permit for construction works on the CHP Padinska Skela and provision of preparation and invitation to bids for procurement of required equipment, preparation of a Detailed Design and execution of works. Technical documentation has to be fully prepared in accordance with the relevant regulations and standards of the Republic of Serbia.
