Bauaufgabe

The IPC IAKS Distinction for Accessibility aims at increasing the accessibility of all sports and leisure facilities and architectural structures in order to offer all people opportunities to practise and view sport freely and without barriers. As of now, designers and owners/operators from all over the world are kindly invited to apply with heir most successful facility. Exemplary buildings and complexes that integrate sensible sustainability and legacy considerations, strong functional planning and exceptional architectural design – does this sound like your facility? Then submit now your project to the most important international architecture prizes for sports, leisure and recreational facilities. Any kind of facility may participate – may it be stadium, multipurpose hall, arena, pool, spa or wellness facility, as well as sport ground or public area. Eligible for the competition are sports and leisure facilities having gone into operation between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2018. Submissions are accepted from newly built facilities as well as expansions, modernizations, rehabilitations or conversions of existing buildings and facilities. Temporary venue infrastructure / architecture (e.g. demountable or relocatable infrastructure for major sport events) may also be entered. The submission deadline is 31 March 2019.
